Experience the excitement of producing special events first hand as you work directly with clients and event guests to play music, make announcements and coordinate amazing private events!
Mustard Seed Gardens, one of Indy’s most unique special event venues, is actively hiring for a part-time wedding and event disc jockey. Candidates must be available one full weekend per month, and additionally serve in an ‘on-call’ state the remaining weekends of each month.
Enjoy the fun parts of being a DJ, without all the nasty lugging equipment and late nights, as the sound, lighting and video equipment is permanently installed. Plus, all events must end by 11:00PM, so you’ll be home nice and early!
The Part-time Disc Jockey position reports directly to the Entertainment Director, and is primarily responsible for:
- Serving as the Master of Ceremonies, and making all applicable announcements
- Interacting/communicating directly with the client, event guests, vendors and team members to ensure a smooth flowing event
- Coordinating the flow of formalities throughout the event, as indicated on event paperwork
- Operating sound, lighting and video production equipment throughout the duration of each event
Successful candidates shall have a valid high school graduation certificate, or equivalent, and a minimum of two years of post-high school schooling (college, technical trade school, or equivalent).
No prior DJ experience is required, as full training regiment will be provided upon hire.
The Part-time Disc Jockey position is classified as a part-time, hourly position with Red Barn Events, and is a weekend-only position.
Candidate is required to be available one full weekend per month (Friday evening through Sunday evening), and shall be in an ‘on-call’ state the remaining weekends each month.
